Beginning the excursion to the Badaling Great Wall, the most gorgeous section of the Great Wall in Beijing. The Badaling Great Wall is the well preserved Ming Dynasty Great Wall with original appearance. Badaling is an ancient military defense project. It is about 1,000 meters above sea level. The Badaling section of Great Wall is about 3, 740 meters long and averagely 8 meters high. The highest section is 15 meters high. The wall is wide enough for five horses to ride abreast.
After Chinese lunch, head to Changling, one of the 13 Ming Dynasty tombs, where emperors and their treasure rest. The Changling Tomb is the largest of the 13 tombs and see the treasures unearthed from the burial chamber. Before back to your hotel, you are arranged to visit a jade factory where you'll learn about this symbolic stone and see how it is carved.
