Explore the charming hutongs ( narrow lanes ), old courtyards, lakes and temples of old part of Beijing. Pedal through this historic area to get around in the old city area. See the giant pandas at Beijing Zoo and visit the largest buddhist temple - Lama Temple in Beijing. Visit the Olympic Sites.
Today start with the visit to Beijing Zoo to meet the giant pandas. The Giant Panda has also served as an emblem for China. Its image appears on a great number of modern Chinese commemorative aspects: silver, gold and platinum coins, and all kinds of souvenirs. Then head to the largest Lama Temple in Beijing --- Yonghe Temple, one hour tour for the mysterious Tibet style Buddhism temple. Before having lunch , you will have 45 minutes to visit the Chinese traditional handicraft silk carpet factory.
Take a pedicab, a modern version of the rickshaw and navigates the mazelike ancient lanes and alleyways known as hutongs which create a multitude of small neighborhoods. You will be arranged to have lunch with locals in a typical Beijing resident's house. Then continue to the Olympic Sites where you have about 45 minutes to take photos at the Bird's nest and water cube. If you would like to explore the inner structure of the stadiums, the tour guide will assist you in buying the entrance tickets, and you could enter the stadiums for sightseeing on your own. On the way to your hotels, we also arrange the short visit to a China Tea House to enjoy tea ceremony. Transferred back to your hotels.
