Explore Beijing through its most charming and newest buildings and landmarks - National Theatre, the Xidan Commercial Street, Financial Street, the China Millennium Monument, old CCTV Tower, the National Stadium (nest), National Swimming Center ( Water Cube ), the Central Business District (CBD) and Wangfujing Street.
Start your tour with the National Theatre for its outside visit. The egg-shaped theatre is designed by the French architect Paul Andreu, the designer of the terminal of the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. Pass by the Xidan Commercial Street. Xidan Commercial Street is well known for its commerce, entertainment, dinning, and finance etc. Then head to the Financial Street. The Beijing Financial Street is 1700m long from north to south and and 600 wide from east to west with many skyscrapers of financial institutions. Continue to visit the China Millennium Monument, dubbed China' s symbolic and commemorative structure to usher in the Year 2000 the new Millennium. Move on to see CCTV Tower. Ascend the highest building in Beijing - The China Central Television (CCTV) Tower for a bird eye's view of the Beijing city.
After yummy lunch, you are arranged to visit the National Stadium (nest) for its outside sightseeing. The National Stadium in Beijing was the main stadium for the 2008 Olympic Games. It is often dubbed the "bird's nest" because of its featuring grid formation. Then move on to National Swimming Center ( Water Cube ) nearby for outside look. It is dubbed "cube" because of its semi-transparent "bubbles" spread out all over its surface with a shape very similar to the structure of "H2O". Then head to the Central Business District (CBD).
