Do you like Chinese food? Have you ever thought to have a hand-on experience of cooking some Chinese dishes? This one day tour helps you fulfil your dream of Chinese Cooking Learning. After cooking learning, you have the chance to visit the old part of Beijing to see how local people live.
Start your cooking tour with a pleasant drive to the cooking school. First walk around the school campus, see how students learn in their classes. Then have a special cooking learning lesson in a private classroom. There you will be taught to learn to cook three Chinese typical dishes from beginning to end. You will enjoy the three dishes as your lunch cooked by yourself.
After yourself prepared lunch, you will visit the local market to learn Chinese ingredients for the Chinese dishes and food - the vegetables, meats, and many spices that make China's cuisine different from other cuisines in the world.
Then head to the Shichahai Area. Take a pedicab, a modern version of the rickshaw and navigates the mazelike ancient lanes and alleyways known as hutongs which create a multitude of small neighborhoods. Visit the Prince Gong Mansion, an intact 1,000-room residence from the Qing Dynasty and climb the Bell Tower, the city's timekeeper for over six centuries. Up the Bell Tower, you can have an outstanding bird's-eye view of Beijing, especially the old part of Beijing. Have dumplings ( Jiaozi ) dinner at Tianjin Baijiaoyuan Restaurant. You can see the expert chefs prepare Jiaozi before you enjoy them, a good way to end your cooking day tour.
